Type of review

They were sold with a MOFI receiver/router for AT&T tower reception. I bought two of these plus the recommended weatherproof/sealed cables which are well made. The workmanship and weather sealing look good, the mounting material is also very good and I covered the connection area with a weatherproof silicone sleeve. Speaking to an RF expert I was told that such a long line would exhibit attenuation so I went back and bought the same 3 foot weatherproof cables. I substituted omnidirectional lobe

Great antenna to match Network Antennas

This antenna was used to dial up a Verizon cellular modem to the pilot unit. The signal has gone from dropping out every few hours to a stable signal strength of five bands and a solid connection. Use with a Proxicast coaxial cable and silicone strap for easy setup and a seamless connection between antenna and modem.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Uninsured

Easy to install, fits 1-1/2 " diameter poles with listed U-brackets

Shipped securely packaged, dimensions and connectors are exactly as sold, very light weight. Easy to install and helps me Already making more HNT every day! The included U-brackets fit easily on my existing 1-1/2" diameter satellite rack mount. There was a big storm last night and it all holds together well. I would recommend the connectors to seal prior to installing the U-bolts.Trying to get weatherproof tape in a tight space was not easy.Overall I am happy with the purchase and would buy…

Signal reliability has improved a lot

While this didn't improve my signal that much on my mofi LTE modem, it did make the signal MUCH more stable. Using only the high gain antennas included with mofi I get random dropouts that cause speed and connection to stall on their way. After installation, I only lost connection once and it was due to a WiFi issue, not LTE. (I installed it in the attic, so I'm sure the signal strength could be better outdoors.) Build quality is very good and I believe it can withstand years of harsh weather.

Detachable Antenna Base

The base is shipped removed from the antenna for possible indoor installation. My access point's signal bars went from 1 bar with a 5dB gain antenna to 2 bars. The four bars on are the best signal strength. I was also able to place this antenna in front of a window, which would not be easy with a 5dB antenna on a magnetic base. I used duct tape, screw clamp and insulated solid wire to attach this antenna to the top of the window.

Works well in rural areas.

3 pieces instead of 3db stub antennas installed, which constantly lost the connection because the mobile phone signal was not the best. The connection has become significantly more stable and does not break off, as with a previously installed antenna. It is important to mount this antenna as high as possible. They have been in use for about 2 weeks and now they are much better than the antenna I used. If this antenna doesn't work in your area, you either have no cellular coverage at all, or you

Works well in rural areas.

I installed 3 of these to replace 3db stub antennas that kept losing connection because the cell signal wasn't the best.
