Perfect Bar best in my review

This bar is going to do exactly what you want. It is amazing for doing push ups in varying hand positions with perfect form. Remember, better form with fewer reps will beget better results than poor form with more reps. And this bar also stops the awful wrist pains that come from doing push ups with your hands flat on the ground. I do 100 push ups every other day, and before the bar my wrist would begin to ache and it would last an hour or so following the routine. But now after utilizing this…

Pros
  • Fits standard doorways Excellent for pull ups, triceps dips, push ups, and sit ups
Cons
  • May not include proper instruction or guidance for safe and effective use

Pretty good, assuming it fits your door

As you can see from the other reviews (and their helpful photos), this won't fit every door. You need a modern-styled door frame with pretty narrow trim. It's a shame, because it seems like it wouldn't take much to have made this work with a wider variety of door frames. In addition to that, there's a little angled metal piece that you need to squeeze between the trim and the wall on one side. It's pointed, but if your trim has been painted with your walls, or the trim installed too snugly…

Good for pull-ups, rock holds aren't good

It has taken me a while to write a review because my muscles are now so huge that I can barely work the keyboard. I've been typing about 1-2 letters per day since I received this product. I have rock climbed seriously for 12+ years and wanted something with at least a few holds and multiple hand positions. This has two holds on it, but the way it they are located makes them extremely uncomfortable to use - your fingers get wedged into the metal behind them and for some reason this is extremely…

Pros
  • Fits standard doorways, Excellent for pull ups, triceps dips, push ups, and sit ups
Cons
  • May be uncomfortable or cause pain if not used properly

Great Product, would recommend.

Only Con to list is that I broke a screw via over tightening, and I was missing a washer. Shipping box was smaller than I thought and product was packaged nicely. This pull up bar feels much stronger than a previous flimsy version I had. Grips are tight and I haven't noticed any spinning on them. I was nervous reading other comments about it not fitting on certain doorways. My trim is thicker than normal at around 3.5 inches, but the product fits perfectly snug and safe to use. I attached a…

Pros
  • It got me a little confusion to make a balance with adjusting screw tightening
Cons
  • Does not provide a full-body workout

This product seems to be sturdy and well-made. The finish on the metal is good and the foam padding is high-quality. The instructions were clear and it was easy to put together. I think this is probably one of the best pull-up bars of this type. (And if there's a better one, I'm not sure why you would want it.)Other reviews indicate that it doesn't fit in all door frames, so that's something to check before ordering. One caveat with these sorts of pull-up bars is that they CAN damage your door…

A great product and at a great price.

Okay, so I went into this with pretty low expectations (a long time ago I watched some youtube videos of people falling in all sorts of hazardous looking ways, and I guess that stuck with me). Because of that, I steered clear of these types of doorway devices, despite the space saving it offered. Long story shorter, this is ridiculously sturdy. It really has no right to be so great, and yet it is. Of course I take care not to act like a dummy while using it, but it is everything I could have…

Cons
  • May require additional equipment for certain exercises

Sturdy, well-made pull-up bar.

I bought this pull-up bar a few weeks ago, and I'm really happy with it. It was pretty easy to assemble, and it feels very sturdy. My doors are pretty standard in size, so it fits just fine. I don't have gaps between the molding and my doors, so I didn't use the safety bracket (no easy way to install it), but as long as you're careful with usage, that's not a major concern. I've also left mine mounted as a reminder to USE IT (instructions say not to keep it mounted full-time), and it sits high…

Cons
  • May not be suitable for shared living situations due to limited privacy

pretty versatile good for me

This is a good product and they give some ideas for how to use it not just for the basic pullups but also dips (low to the floor), pushups, and situps. I've also been experimenting with bands for various assisted moves and that really helps to make this product shine. It's pretty sturdy when you have it together and the instructions for assembly are easy to follow and it includes it's own tools, so you don't have to have any. The instructions for potential exercises is pretty minimal and could…

Pros
  • Sports & Outdoors
Cons
  • May not be adjustable to individual height and strength levels

Assembly Workout for my opinion

My only complaint is that the long screws, parts 13 and 14, should have an allen wrench head on them to make it easier to put on the acorn nut. Especially part 13 was not easy to get through the holes, but I managed.

Pros
  • Exercise & Fitness
Cons
  • May not provide enough variety in exercises to keep users engaged long-term

Very happy with this purchase.

This is a great pull up bar. I really like how easily I can take it on and off my door with no trouble, and I have no doubts about its sturdiness. The only complaint I have is that assembly was a bit frustrating. I almost broke this thing trying to put some screws in the wrong direction. Still can't figure out whether it was just my mistake or if the illustration in the manual is inaccurate. Also, for the safety hook thing that you stick behind the molding on the door frame, it is rather wide. I

  • Could potentially cause injury if used improperly or without supervision

Quality bar. Quality workout. VERY Satisfied.

I'm always skeptical when purchasing equipment online, so I studied out my best options carefully. I am now convinced I found the best bang-for-buck pullup bar available on ebay!I've had a different pull-up bar from another company once before needing a new one. The old one came with the primary center bar come a little warped, making me need to bend a few parts (including a bolt) to make it work and fit together. This one, however, was perfect. No flaws, no warped metal, intelligent simple…
