The ideal antenna for simulcast problems P25

Short answer: Works great. This completely eliminated the stuttering and dropout issues I previously had with the stock antenna. You will need an N BNC connector to connect to the Uniden scanner and possibly an N extension cable depending on where you mount the antenna. Between this and the P25 threshold optimization my error rate is now always 0. Buy this antenna if you have trouble simulcasting to 800MHz. There is no need to buy more expensive yagi. This is the one to buy.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Secret

Now I have almost no decoding errors and at least 4 times more traffic than before. The signal level is locked to level 4/5 when the signal is stable. With a standard omnidirectional antenna, about 3/4 of the time the signal was reflected and turned into distorted noise. A multi-site system in my area is almost impossible to use with a standard radio unless you can narrow down reception to a single tower. For this purpose this little antenna is ideal and not expensive at all! This is a fiveโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled

Significantly increased signal

After hundreds of hours of research I finally bought this and it was the best decision I've made. I literally had one bar of LTE service after aligning this antenna correctly, one bar turned into five bars of a fantastic product. The aluminum is a bit flimsy in rack mount terms, but still works very well.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Some issues

Highly recommended for 800MHz trunked systems

Antenna purchased for use on high bands 700-800MHz on digital trunked scanners. My local system has 4 simulcast nodes, two of which could be received with the rear of the unit mapped to the 800MHz omnidirectional antenna, albeit slightly. With this Yagi installed at any location, I measured about 9dB of gain over the 800MHz omnidirectional, and more importantly, the noise floor was reduced by over 10dB. As any good ammeter will tell you, signal-to-noise ratio is the real game when it comes toโ€ฆ

  • One year trial

Use with BCD996P2 scanner

I have this to use with my scanner, Uniden BCD996P2. The antenna works great! I actually installed it in my house and it shows the tower I want very clearly. I'm with UP Michigan, they use Sumlicast here. So I only need a tower or two to collect everything. This is exactly what I needed. Much better than the stock antenna. Here he catches about 150 MHz. I'm guessing because the tower I'm pointing to also has VHF. I'm mainly tracking APCO 25 phase 1. Michigan is in the process of moving to phase

Pros
  • There is something in there
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Ideal solution for 800MHz scanners

I ran into all sorts of problems with multicast when getting multipath from multiple towers. This yagi was affordable and provided the direction and reinforcement I needed to find a clear path. Looking forward to masting this with my dual band antenna. Right now great results come from having it outside in my house. I know that I will let this child go. Great solution to an annoying problem.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Not the best

Great results for me. Recommended

Added splitter to our rooftop Z-Boost omnidirectional cellular antenna. We live in a country with very poor cell phone coverage. We used the internet to find the nearest cell tower for our cell service provider and aimed this new directional antenna at that tower. Moved from 3 bars indoors to 5+. I say 5+ because Z-Boost actually shows a red indicator when the received signal is too strong, and this often happens after installing this antenna. Of course it's nice to have a reliable 5-bar cellโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Minor issues

Works for Verizon Band 13

I bought this antenna as a spare to take with me when I go camping. operates at 698MHz and above and is required to work with Verizon 4G LTE. Some antennas sold start at 806MHz and are not rated for the Verizon LTE band. I installed the antenna as shown in the picture as a test and it worked fine. short coaxial length with "N" socket. A separate cable is required, sold by the same vendor and listed as 49.2 feet. This cable has an "N" connector on one end and an SMA connector on the other, which
