Review on High-Yield Magenta Ink Cartridge (T126320-S) With DURABrite Ultra Technology For Epson Stylus And Workforce Printers by Rick Booth

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Expensive but archival.

I was shocked that the Epson ink for my Workforce 840 is so expensive. I was dismayed at this. I have tried refills on other Epsons in the past but the ink jets clog rendering the printer useless. Been there. Long story. So when I needed another printer, I couldn't find another with the features I wanted except for Epson again. Arrgh. The work around was to use an iPad, as mobile electronic paper, which cut my ink and paper useage down so much the printer was wasting ink cleaning the ink jets because it was sitting too long between printings. Sooo. I print just enough to keep the printer going. The consolation is, the ink is archival, waterproof, and doesn't fade. A guy hung up test printed sheets for a year on his window. Epson didn't fade. The rest did. Impressive. And definitely good for photos. With the iPad work around in place, what I print is what I really need to print and is going to last a long time. I hope the iPad does. This electronic stuff is getting out of hand.

Pros
  • Worry-free handling — smudge, fade and water resistant prints
Cons
  • May require frequent cleaning of the ink heads
