Excellent printer for my opinion

This printer is great for my art studio and helps me save time with my workflow. I can easily sketch on duralene, with all the values and composition worked out and print it out on Epson hot press paper which is a quick way to transfer a drawing. It can easily be a finished drawing or a start of a painting since the paper is prepared. This printer would be 100% perfect it didn't run out of ink so fast, plus the replacement inks are very expensive.Hopefully down the line third party ink refills…

Pros
  • Works fine
Cons
  • Complicated software

We've been using the 3170 and 5170 for a while now. These printers have been reliable workhorses for printing of both posters and photos. You'd think with only three colors (plus black), photographic printing would leave something to be desired, but the output is more than good enough to result in frame-worthy photos so long as you start out with an image of high enough resolution to be blown up to these sizes. The wifi is dependable, firmware upgrades are automatically applied, and the overall

Pros
  • Versatile Print media handling — accommodates rolls up to 24" wide and sheets up to 11" x 17" through the auto-sheet feeder
Cons
  • Not suitable for small office spaces

Printer is exceptional!

I have ran through an entire roll of paper on the original ink still. I am very impressed with the speed, quality, and ease of use. Very happy and would recommend to anyone else. Thank you.

Pros
  • Printers & Accessories
Cons
  • Limited warranty coverage

Printer assembled easily, our only issue was when loading the paper purchased through revains recommendation it wouldn't load and would give us an error code 00159F. I spoke with an Epson rep that had me measure the diameter of the role. Turns out that the diameter of the roll purchased was to wide, we stripped off about 1/2" diameter of paper and it loaded fine.If purchasing I would defer to Epson as to which paper to order.

Pros
  • Inkjet Printers
Cons
  • Limited wireless connectivity options

Nightmare out of the box

Update: Epson rep on phone says printer is "whole unit replace" even though the warranty documentation says next-day, onsite service. Have to disassemble and box it up and ship it back for a replacement. Warranty was prime reason for choosing this printer.Multiple errors during setup that could not be found at Epson.com. Had to search random websites. Error 00159A motor overtorque turned out to be caused by paper roll having too large a diameter and not rolling freely in slot. Paper purchased…

Far superior to the HP t200!

I've been using my Epson T2170 and cannot recommend it enough. I use it weekly to print my separation films for screen printing and it works phenomenally due to Epson's use of UV resistant pigmented inks on all color channels, not just black like HP uses to cheap out. When printing separations and burning screens with UV light, the UV resistant ink blocks the light perfectly (down to a 5 second burn with LED!). HP is known to be cheap crap and Epson also has a solid reputation. My box DID COME…

Cons

good value, but some issues.

Worst printer I've ever owned.1) Ink hog, will go though MASSIVE amounts of ink without even printing much, just through head cleaning and re-starting. (so scammy)2) sheet feeder does not keep 8.5x11 straight, usually prints crooked.3) Software defaults ro Roll feeder, even if you're printing on letter, is a huge hassle to change trays each time, does not remember defaults.4) software often very slow to load

Pros
  • Easy to operate — large, intuitive 4.3" LCD screen simplifies operation
Cons
  • Inability to handle large volumes of printing jobs

I've run off two rolls of paper and have no major complaints except for the stand. When using the stand, the pages don't always lay flat and sometimes roll up making the next one also roll up and making a mess in the tray. I have a small table that I let the prints slide out flat on but you have to remember to print sets in reverse. I do this with the Bluebeam interface as there does not appear to be a setting on the printer. I still have the factory supplied ink in the machine so ink…

Pros
  • Epson
Cons
  • Inferior image quality compared to other printers in the same price range

Serious printer for multiple uses

This is a substantial investment for most small businesses or perhaps for personal use for those who require a large format printer. I'll preface my review by stating that (a) I have only used the printer with wired Ethernet (not wireless), (b) I have only printed from and tested with A360, AutoCAD DWG Viewer, and AutoCAD LT, (c) I printed primarily architectural and engineering line drawings (aka building and electrical design plans) as well as network drawings. There are MANY potential print…

Pros
  • 105.8 pounds
Cons
  • Takes too long to warm up and start printing

Came damaged. Would not work.

Unit arrived in badly damaged box. Unit would power up but not print. To over a month to get a replacement from Epson. revain customer support did not help.

Pros
  • Streamline workflow with high-detail 24" wide integrated scanner — easily scan and share documents; up to 600 dpi scanner with highlight detection accurately scans annotated blueprints and drawings
Cons
  • Not suitable for heavy-duty printing jobs

Great Asset for my opinion

I draft and print house plans and building designs daily. I have had this out-sourced in the past, but my schedule demanded me at the office more, so I bought this printer. It has been wonderful. It does a great job and was easy to set up. I only needed it to be connected with the USB cable, so I haven't any opinion on the wireless printing. I have printed on 36 x 24, and with the correct formatting and layout, it is perfectly to scale.

Pros
  • Outstanding productivity — change cartridges less often with high-capacity ink cartridges up to 50 ml (color) and 80 ml (Black)
Cons
  • Prone to paper jams

3rd Times The Charm

IT Electronix5 S Main St Dock #3Englishtown, NJ 07726-1558Dec 5, 2022 9:55 AM1) I bought this printer Epson SC-T210 that was to be NEW in box. It was NOT new as the ink carriages were already in the printer and the "Maintenance Box" which hold the waste ink is already maxed out counter. Meaning I have to buy a new Box as the printer does not start up. The Maintenance Box is $19.95. But that is not what make me mad. It was to be a NEW printer. Not used. How Dare You sell me a used printer and…

Great for Small Operation

I don’t do a lot of printing (just changed out the starter ink cartridges) and my concern was that the ink would dry up or ruin the printheads like on some small printers. Bought this in December 2019 and haven’t had any issues. The printer is well packed in a large box, so an extra hand will make it easier to move. Setup was a breeze and WiFi connection has never been a problem. It does take a few minutes to send the files, but once finished printing is fast. One caution, the ink does have an…
