Just what I was looking for

It's a great quality, gentle bit that is good looking to boot. My young gelding loves it; switched to this from a single jointed snaffle. He has a fairly small mouth so I needed something that wasn't too fat.

Pros
  • Encourages relaxation and salivation
Cons
  • Maintenance Requirements: The copper material on the bit requires frequent cleaning and maintenance to prevent rust and corrosion, which can add to the upkeep costs

Perfect comfort for my young horse

Perfect! My busy mouthed young horse was very comfortable in this and he kept his tongue in his mouth. Just what I needed.

Pros
  • Nice quality. D is quite large
Cons
  • sent back. too big for my horse's mouth

Super good for sensitive horse

My appendix mare absolutely hates the traditional french link, and she gets super twitchy in a plain snaffle. This has been a super comfortable and I have not had any problems getting her soft in this bit.

Pros
  • Eliminates the "nutcracker" tongue-pinching action of most conventional bits
Cons
  • Not Suitable for Novices

Perfect for my draft

I like using a double jointed snaffle. I like this one especially because the D rings are nice and large. It fits my draft horse's face perfectly. Wish I had a picture to share. It has nice weight to it. Good quality and an affordable price. Highly reccomend.

Pros
  • Bits
Cons
  • This bit does not perform as well for certain riding activities, such as jumping or dressage, as it is designed primarily for hunting and flatwork
