After reading the other reviews I was afraid to purchase this in too small a size since I am very busty - I ordered an XL. The coat is nice. I was disappointed with the color. It was not by far the deep chocolate brown shown in the picture. The color is rather a dull brown, quite a different shade than the picture. The waist is rather large, especially in the back and gives no definition to your body. I had the instinct to pinch the material at the back to make it more trimmed - it would have looked great with some more tailored waist. I bought it to stay warm in bitter cold and long enough cover all of me. I'm about 5'2" to 5'4" and its about to my ankles, which is ok as I'll primarily wear it to work and with boots I'll be perfectly warm. Parking and walking to the bldg from car and vise versa will be much better now. I love this coat. I was looking for a cruelty-free maxi coat for a while (I freeze a lot). Usually, options suggested by PETA are either short and sporty or fancy, but very expensive. I bought the medium only because they were out of large and based on other reviews it runs small. I'm usually a medium and it does fit well enough, but given the choice would have gone up a size so that I could layer underneath and have longer sleeve length. I do love the coat overall though and look forward to wearing it this winter.

It fits great. A little large for me but that was what I wanted. It comes to mid calf on me but I am 6'1 so no complaints there. It is soft and luxurious for the price. The hood is nice and deep and keeps wind out fairly well. So far the only issue I found was some white fluff sticking out from the fur of the hood so I took a star for that. I don't want to mess with it as I fear it could get worse. All in all I am satisfied and love it. Have worn it in lower 30 degree temps and was toasty.

I really love this coat! It fits great with room for layers underneath. I live in Minnesota, but haven’t had to wear it yet as it hasnn’t been. Cold enough yet, but it seems like it would be really nice and warm and cozy. It almost makes me look forward to some colder days so I can wear it. :). Great deal!

My daughter wears this coat every day. She says it feels like wearing a blanket. Soft and looks nice. Very long and luxurious. Faux suede seems a little thin at first but has no negative effect on looks or feel. It came packed so tight that it looked ruined but it shook out over some days and no more wrinkles from packing.

My wife Loved this coat. I gave it to her as a gift for her birthday. This cost is heavy & will keep you warm . My wife was looking for a longer coat for when she wears her dresses. Its classy looking , and great quality. The fit is a bit different, it’s a bit snug on the arms but then a little full in the middle , I got her regular size which is a medium, but it’s a little tight if she wears a sweater , but it’s not uncomfortable.I would definitely recommend this coat.

This coat is really beautiful and very warm and cozy. It feels a little heavy when you pick it up, but you don't notice the weight when you're wearing it. I am 5'4" and curvy and the large fit me fairly well - not too tight at the bust or shoulders so I have enough room to wear it over a thick sweater. This coat is absolutely amazing. It's incredibly warm, the lining is very soft, and the coat is thick. It came with the buttons individually wrapped in paper to keep them nice during shipping. The hood is just right. Also, not kidding about that warm thing, I was sweating in two minutes wearing it open in a cold (70 degrees) air conditioned room. Can't wait to wear it when it's chilly this weekend and I have to be outside.

Overall , I'm pleased with it. The length is great and it's very warm without being bulky. I wear a size 12 and did find it tighter than I would have liked in the shoulders & mid driff area. But if fit great around the hips. I think it's just the way the coat is cut. IT' sbeen cold in Boston and this coat really helped when it was windey & 20 degrees.I gave it 4 stars because of the snugness in the shoulder area.

Fits more snug through the top than through the middle. I took this to a tailor to have all but the top button moved a couple inches to make the coat tighter through the middle. Love the fabric and all else. Nice quality coat.

I bought a medium, although the size chart indicated I needed a small. I ordered medium because, my weight dropped, but expect it to raise. The waist area is tight now, so I might have issues down the line. The sleeve length is just right. The hood is massive, with no way for it to stay up if its windy. A clasp would be nice.
