I got the ones in chocolate brown and the color is a nice, dark buff. The laces are cord-style, but not stiff in any way and very easy to tie and adjust. I’ve had these boots for 7 years now. I recently had to add sole inserts because I’d worn them so much that the thin inner cushioning was worn away. That being said, they’re still in great condition and I’d definitely recommend them to friends.
