The box arrived slightly damaged as shown in the photo. The top blade also had a chip, but I don't think it affected the cut. I swapped the cutting blade for a ceramic one. Easy exchange. The clippers cut well, but I'm not quite sure I like them yet. I used a Wahl 5 Star before getting it and they work like a champion after adjusting the zero gap. The $20 red and black Andis Wal-Mart hair clipper didn't even last a year before it started clinging to my hair painfully loudly. These quick bitch feeds are way better and shave like butter. Quiet operation and a thick power cord are quality now. I bought the white ceramic blade upgrade but haven't installed it yet. The default setting didn't work for me at all. I assume the blade upgrade is recommended for commercial use.

When I first used this item, the blade got so hot that it burned my husband's ear. I absolutely cannot recommend this machine. I stick with the cheaper ones that I have to replace more often - the blades don't get as hot.

You must be kidding. All positive reviews mean nothing if the device works only once. I bought this clipper and it looks like it has been used before. They had some hair and dirt on the top of the blades and the box was bent as if it had been previously opened. I had to clean the blade immediately and just replaced it.
