Works great

My router is in the attic so I had to use this converter to connect in my room. The installation was very easy and the converter works without any problems, which I am very happy about.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Minor issues

Works as expected.: Computers and accessories

Product works like a charm. I was able to connect the 30m fiber without any problems. Just two things. 1. I tried another product, they are better made than this one, but I got a 1ms increase in ping, which is important to me.2. My RJ45 is 2.5G and it is expected to receive 2.5G but is receiving 1Gbps. Overall I believe the product delivers what it was intended to do - the two points above are my observations that I still use for my final setup.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • No paint required

Works well, what more could you ask for?

Runs like a champ. I hooked it up for the first time and it's been working ever since. I really thought it was 10 Gbps but it is 1 Gbps. Using it for a line from my house to my shop replacing *4* the CAT5 cables I previously ran (they all died eventually, now I have armored fiber optic cable instead and it was about the same price, what I was doing, and then found it hard to quit (I gave up, but then I only have 35 years of experience in IT :-)) It was click, click and done.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Long

Really knows how to switch speeds between interfaces

It worked for me. Unlike most other fiber-to-copper transceivers, this one varies in speed between the two interfaces. I have a 1000Mbps fiber side and a 100Mbps copper side, both sides auto-negotiate with their respective peers.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • It's hard to remember but it was

Easy setup, useful mounts

I used this converter to connect my home office computer to my server in the basement and it was easy to set up. I just plugged everything in and it worked. Very nice is that the kit includes fasteners, I was able to hang the device on the wall so that it does not move.

  • Glitter

Excellent product for connecting fiber to standard ethernet segments

These fiber to ethernet segment media converters are installed at the ends of a 200m segment. They lit up when the power was first turned on and didn't need to be adjusted to work. They've been in place for months with some of the worst thunderstorms I've ever had with no issues. Pre-configuration with the right SFP Gbics saved time and money and simplified setup. John

Pros
  • Something is right
Cons
  • There is a negative result

Economical and easy to use

They are easy to use and work well. I didn't have to change any settings and they work great in industrial environments. It's definitely worth going from a 100Mbps connection to a Gigabit connection like I did.

Cons

Great low bandwidth media converters

I hooked up a couple of these converters to a 200 foot 50/125 multimode patch cord with LC connectors and they work right out of the box. The power supply is not a clunky wall wart. There is a short 110 volt pigtail for connecting to an extension cord. A handwritten note offering technical support was included.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Bad set
