Great little lanterns. The material is sturdy and seems fairly scratch-resistant. The lanterns emit a bright white light and I haven't had one die yet! They are simple to use. There is no power switch. You simply pull the top portion (cap) of the lantern upward to engage the power. I bought these as stocking stuffers for my son and nephew at Christmas. They were a big hit! They loved them! Very bright and well made. Lightweight too. You can’t go wrong with these. I highly recommend buying these. If there’s one thing guys love to get is any type of flashlight! I get some type of flashlight every year. Make sure you buy batteries too!

I ordered the box of 4 lanterns several months ago. This morning we were one of the thousands without electricity as result of the Nor’easter. I opened the lanterns, installed batteries and the first one I tried did not work. I did not rate battery life as I turned the other three off after only an hour and a half.

Bought these to have for when our power occasionally goes out during storms since the last time it happened, it got old fast holding flashlights for everything. These are small and don’t take up a ton of space and I liked that you got multiple for a lower cost so we could set them in other rooms where we need light. We lose power often where we live and these are exactly what we need to have one in pretty much every room of our 2 bedroom apartment (we're actually about to buy a 2nd set to keep one in the car, and a couple extras for bathroom etc.).They are easy to turn on, and I love that they hang.
