Not Honeywell, cheap fake from Mexico

These are Resideo brand thermo par de 36 units. They may or may not work, but they should work. I bought a backup when my last thermocouple failed. The solder at the end of the valve is the most schematic.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • No automatic

Easy installation best in harsh plumbing

Units arrived exactly as shown, two ordered, one for future backup. Installation was easy and my boiler started up again. Fantastic price. Make sure you order the correct length for your device.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • poorly thought out

They're working on my slantfin shell.

I try to always have a spare tire on hand in the winter just when a spare is needed. It's no fun waking up in a cold house to find the check engine light is off. I always have a backup so I can come back and work at short notice.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Negative is present

Universal thermocouple for almost every model of boiler

I had a boiler and the indicator light didn't come on even after 3 minutes of heating. I received one of these and replaced it. The total installation time was less than 30 minutes. It's definitely better than hiring someone for $125. Definitely an easy DIY project

We paid $330.00 for our first one!

I came home from a week-long trip, it was cool at home. No heat! holiday weekend! They called a plumber, at night, on a bank holiday weekend, they looked for him to come directly, it was 21 degrees outside, 33 degrees inside. Long story short, I saw him replace our thermocouple in 20 minutes and bill us for hundreds of dollars. I now stock three of these thermocouples next to the oven and have since (8 years) had to replace two. done with basic tools and can be a little cheaper than calling a…

Thermocouple Fun Fact

I used to think that thermocouples work by transferring heat from a pilot flame through a copper wire to some sort of sensor. So I was worried it would take too long to transfer that heat. It turns out they don't work that way. The heat of the pilot flame causes the tip of the thermocouple to generate a tiny amount of current, which is transmitted through the cable to the control box. So it doesn't matter if you get a thermocouple that is too long. You can easily coil up and tuck away the extra

  • Sturdy Construction
Cons
