Did not work as expected

Although this basin wrench seems to be built rather sturdy it did not hold on to the nut very good at all. I finally went back to using the adjustable wrench like I had used before.

Pros
  • Works well but on the heavy side
Cons
  • The telescoping handle takes up a lot of space in a toolbox or on a workbench

A good sturdy tool.

A good sturdy tool, did what it was supposed to do. The telescopic body helped get to a hard to reach pipe fitting. Only issue was that the plastic hanging handle broke off in shipping, but since I wasn’t planning on hanging it up it’s not a big deal to me.

Pros
  • That it was not cheaply made, heavy and better than expected.
Cons
  • The telescoping handle may develop wobble or looseness over time, reducing the tool's accuracy

Very handy and sturdy. Convenient to use in a very tight space under kitchen sink. I'm a girl with no plumbing experience. Was able to upgrade a new kitchen sink faucet.

Pros
  • Worked great. Easy to use.
Cons
  • The jaws may scratch or damage delicate plumbing surfaces, leading to costly repairs or replacements

A must have tool for your home repair

HAUTMEC Adjustable Basin Wrench Capacity of 3/8-Inch to 1-1/4-Inch, 11-Inch Reach PL0024 If you are trying to remove or install a kitchen faucet, you will most likely need this tool. A good basin wrench. The spring does a good job of holding the movable jaw properly. It is a bit stiff to slide the two sections apart but for an occasional user this is not going to be a big problem.

Pros
  • Tool was great
Cons
  • The jaws are not adjustable, and may not fit all sizes of faucets or other plumbing fixtures

FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS

Unfortunately, my sink and fixtures are installed and very cluttered at the nut leaving little room for the wrench. It will work but you must follow the instructions and view some videos on proper use. There needs to be enough space to get the wrench to the nut and the wrench must be facing the correct direction with the teeth turning the correct direction and biting the nut.

Pros
  • The sturdiness and extension of this wrench made a difficult job easily doable.
Cons
  • not easy to used

A very well made item.

This tool falls into the "exotic" category - meaning it's use will be only in that special situation - but I'll be ready. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • I was skeptical, but this wrench helped fix the issue in our motorhome
Cons
  • Disappointed that the head was a little too big and I couldn’t fit in the confined area under the sink.

I got the wrench fast.

My bathtub sprayer needed to be replaced, and there was no way to get to it other than up through the floor That's my review!

Pros
  • Quality product
Cons
  • It didn't grip the nut to turn it.

Don't even try to install a new sink faucet (especially a kitchen sink faucet) without using one of these. You'll hurt your fingers trying. This is what the plumbers use.

Pros
  • Excellent tool, excellent design - a must have for every home owner
Cons
  • The wrench may be too expensive to justify for occasional use or hobbyist plumbing work

Good tool to have in your kit.

The wrench arrived quickly. It is what I expected. Still a tough fit for the sink I have but I was able to tighten. I did need a flashlight to see. I recommend this product.

Pros
  • Adjustable and it locks in place
Cons
  • The telescoping handle may not be able to extend far enough to reach certain types of plumbing fixtures, limiting the tool's overall range

Basin wrench on my review.

even with all hoses connected was able to atain minimum torque required to tighten faucet securely. It was tricky but took less time and probably effort than going through the hose disconnection process. The use of the wrench would've however, been easier with no hoses.

Pros
  • Haven’t had to use yet but looks like will work great
Cons
  • The handle may develop looseness or play over time, reducing the tool's accuracy and effectiveness

Works as intended best in my review

This tool is great for getting into tight spaces and unscrewing those pesky bolts. If you are looking at this you probably know what you are looking for and I'll just say that it does work well.

Pros
  • Well made but didn't have enough room to use it on my Pedestal Sink
Cons
  • The tool may be too heavy for some users to handle comfortably, causing muscle strain and fatigue

"Should not work this well! "

When you look at this wrench you think to yourself, there is no way it's going to work. But it's actually brilliant, perfect for under-counter faucet nuts and so on. The trick is, like a pipe wrench, it only "bites" one way. So the mechanism flips over - flip one way to tighten, the other way to loosen. If you have it the wrong way, fail! But flip it over - magic.

Pros
  • Where have you been all my life. You need this if you fix any plumbing.
Cons
  • The tool may not be suitable for use on heavily corroded or rusted plumbing fixtures, requiring more powerful tools to complete the task

Good tool for the money

Bought this to use where I work for faucet replacement and it has saved me multiple times. Only thing I didn't like is the small pin to attach the head to the handle. I haven't broken mine yet however I feel as if it will be the first thing to go

Pros
  • used it while installing new faucet, worked great, no complaints
Cons
  • The jaws may not open wide enough to fit certain types of plumbing fixtures, reducing the tool's usefulness
