Great picture and Great for a Projector Newbie

This is my first projector. Like so many on here I did a lot of research. I also got a Benq v7050i to see how much better DLP might be, since this was cheaper and got the highest overall score in a recent Ultra Short Throw (UST) projector "showdown” competition. It turned out I’m extremely sensitive to the "Rainbow Effect” or RBE, to the point of nausea. And all available projectors that are UST and DLP can cause rainbow effect regardless of what you see advertised, even the most expensive…

Pros
  • Video Projectors
Cons
  • Size: The projector's large size may make it difficult to find a suitable location to place it

Had the potential of being the best UST on the market

I really wanted to like this projector, but the following missing features were a dealbreaker:* No Dolby Atmos support* No 3D support* No ability to use built-in soundbar with external subwoofer simultaneously.

Pros
  • Modern Ultra Short Throw Laser Design — Sleek ultra short throw laser design seamlessly complements a variety of décor styles and audio/video furniture; features multi-point picture adjustment and individually adaptable feet for quick and easy setup
Cons
  • Weight: At 24.7 pounds, the Epson 2022 Ultra LS800 may be too heavy and difficult to maneuver for some users

Nice projector, but no Netflix, Airplay support, color adjustments

The Epson LS-800 is a nice projector. The picture is bright, and viewable under minimal dimming on a bare wall. Unlike many other Ultra short throws, it has a 3-chip technology which does not have the "rainbow effect" that many viewers (such as myself) have. I am comparing this product with a Samsung Freestyle, a circa 2011 (long-throw) Epson projector, and a recently returned a LG CineBeam HU915QB.Unfortunately, the product lacks some basic features that make it difficult to recommend until…

Pros
  • Epson SilverFlex Ambient Light Rejecting Screen (4) — Available and sold separately in two sizes, 100" and 120", these screens are engineered to absorb up to 90% of the ambient light to increase contrast and produce an astonishingly crisp picture
Cons
  • While it has self-cleaning technology, maintenance can be tedious and time-consuming

OS is a mess for my opinion

This is my first projector, I am using this in a not fully blackout room, without ALR screen. I am not seeing a need for ALR screen at least for now.Good picture quality, brightness. But man, the OS seems a mess. Most of the streaming apps like prime, Disney plus, Hulu etc won’t work without a full restart of the system every time. Youtube works without a problem though even though I am seeing motion glitches while streaming videos from youtube. On top of that a week of time to get attention from

Pros
  • Outstanding Warranty & Service — 2-year limited warranty; two-business-day replacement with free shipping
Cons
  • Limited connectivity

Better than any TV I have in my house.

Love it, was easy to set up basically plug and play. Awesome picture and all even only projecting on a light Grey wall only.

Pros
  • Smart Streaming Capability — Latest Android TV (5) interface with a simple-to-use remote—including voice search with built-in Google Assistant; watch all your favorite streaming channels including Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, YouTube and more; even stream live TV with apps like YouTube TV (6)
Cons
  • Bulb life: The Epson 2022 Ultra LS800's bulb has a shorter lifespan than some other projectors in its class, which may require more frequent replacements

Impressive. Immersive.

After a Miami Dolphins loss, I threw my phone at my 85 inch Samsung and shattered the screen. So after I lied to my wife and said the damn thing broke on its own, it was time to get a new TV. I wanted to go bigger, but there’s nothing out there bigger than 85 that would not break the bank. I switched my attention to a UST Projector. Did extensive research and could not find any customer reviews on this unit, so I YouTube the only 3 reviews and I was convinced. This is my fist projector and I…

Really is a nice picture

I've had an Optoma UHD60 projector for a few years now. Didn't use it that often (still only has 56 hours on the bulb) but when I did, it was a gorgeous picture. But I had it mounted on the back of the great room using a pretty inexpensive 125" Elite motorized screen. I got tired of the shadows if someone walked across the room and passed through the projection beam, got tired of the heat it generated especially in the summer (winter it was a boon). I wanted something I could put on a…

I can't recommend this.

I can't give a proper review. all I can say is it's big and the colors on screen suck. Other then that I couldn't get it to work nor could the nice lady on Epson support line. I turned on the projector and everything was fine at first. I got to Google home and I started to watch YouTube. I could not get it to focus. I spoke to Epson and they said the focus is in the positioning of the projector. There are no option. So strike one. I moved this thing every direction. I'm very tech savy and not…

Outstanding! good for me

This projector is no joke. Black levels are outstanding, color absolutely explodes off the screen. This was purchased at a blue brick and mortar, but posting on Revain to get this projector the reviews it deserves. Absolutely stunning. Don't hesitate between this and the Formovie, if you have any kind of light in your room at all this one beats it hands down. Way to go, Epson!

Superb replacement for Epson 5040UB-e

I have this projecting onto a non ALR, regular 120" screen and it looks marvelous. It's sitting about 8" in front of the screen and the image looks bright, nice and crisp. Game mode is excellent for the PS5.Overall I highly recommend this projector without reservations.
