Description of 💥 Enhance Drilling Efficiency with Drill America DEWCSCBR6 High Speed Counterbore

Counter bore. High-speed steel tools are good for most general purpose applications, offering a combination of hardness and toughness for wear resistance. Round shanks allow use with a wide variety of tool holding systems. Counter boring is the enlargement of a portion of a hole that has previously been formed. The counter bore is a two-piece construction, having an integral shank and counter bore-cutter, and a pilot that is interchangeable, which provides flexibility in the use of the tool.

Disappointing Counterbore Performance

Using this product, our team found that it has poor cutting capabilities and the finish was rough, to say the least. The only positive thing about this product is that it was easy to install. However, the poor performance and quality of this counterbore made it a waste of our time and money. Overall, we cannot recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient counterbore.

Pros
  • Designed for high-speed performance
Cons
  • May damage the material if used improperly

Looks like what I needed

Didn't use it at first. The one I used survived the 220 holes I had to countersink in the mild steel rods I milled. So once I start using it I'll update my answer. The only disappointment is that the tool does not have a pilot diameter hole. This is useful from time to time when the pilot is just not filming.

Pros
  • Round shanks allow for use with a variety of tool holding systems
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Not for trimming valve guides

Tried to use this valve guide trimming tool for drilling and polishing. It took me as much time trimming one rail as it did trimming the rest of the rails in my head with a carbide tipped tool. If you are using this to cut any type of metal invest in a good carbide tipped countersink. You will be much happier with the results. I'm sure it would be great if you worked with wood.

Pros
  • Reaming widens part of a previously formed hole
Cons
  • Can't remember
