Had to go to hardware store to buy electrical wire to install this. This is the reason for 2 stars. I've done this setup before and it's pretty easy if you have even the basic necessities of comfort around the house. You could spend a little more and probably get better but this takes place in the bedroom so it will do the trick for me.

I love this plug-in power supply, but one element is missing: the electrical wiring. It doesn't matter except that I was expecting slightly different content. I've seen similar versions with an extension connecting the top and bottom boxes. Aside from having to go to the hardware store, installation was easy if you followed the instructions. I really like the professional look of the product. Unfortunately it is not sustainable. The plastic wings that slide out and hook into the drywall are much thinner than those on a standard old PVC box, which also slides out and hooks into the wall. This causes them to break off instead of pressing against the wall. I tightened it with a screwdriver but they didn't stick to the wall. i like it, took the time to get it right a single gang poke a single hole under the tv for the wires to come out of the wall then i did before the electrics made a hole down the bottom in the same 16 inch area that the outlet is already in the wall and plugged in a couple of 14/2s and pushed to this unit and the connection was tight but works great and a single 1 is so with a socket that perfectly covers the hole at the bottom. This product has allowed me to install a TV in one room and a UPS in a media cabinet in another room. This allows my TV to be powered by the UPS (I have a pure sine wave UPS). When my Vizo TV loses power it takes 3-5 minutes to restart from this state. I used 14/2 wire (black, white, and ground) to get the 30 or so feet I needed. Not only did I run the power to the outlet, I also ran the coaxial cable. This is actually the best connection as the coaxial cable can be connected directly to the TV and does not have to be converted via a junction box. I've ditched a lot of TVs over the years and now that power pass-through kit prices are going down I wanted one give try. I've used other kits in the recent past that connect the power directly to the home power supply which looks cleaner but makes using a surge protector through it more difficult (sockets were recessed so cube blocks won't fit. You'll have to daisy chain a laptop/ travel surge protector). In short, it gives you more choice and the ability to use bigger/better surge protectors.
