It's definitely easy to clean and use. The opening is a little small so it can be a little difficult to get your hand in it. I prefer to use butter flavor popcorn oil and mix it up really well before popping it. It makes it taste better than melting butter. I have a movie theater popping machine and it taste closer to that then anything else I've tried. I will use this more. You just have to be careful because the popper is very hot and you will burn yourself.

I like making my own popcorn because I can control what goes in it (and it's less expensive than the microwave stuff). This is a nice little popper! We use about 1/2 cup of kernels and a dash of canola oil, put it in the microwave on the 3 OZ popcorn setting, and watch it. It takes about 3 minutes to fully pop, and leaves few unpopped kernels. You need to keep trying different times. One microwave burned it. The next one popped good but I got allot of old maids. I will figure it out, but I actually prefer my air popper that is 35 years old. When it dies, I will get serious about this popper.

This is a nice microwave popcorn alternative. You choose the corn, you choose the additions, and the popper is a nice, non-toxic option. It's not perfect. I wouldn't bother with the butter dispenser, and don't overload the corn. Better to do it in a couple of batches.

I think this item and my microwave just don't get along. The item is attractive and it does work, but I really have to watch it. That's not a bad thing, but it isn't quite what I had hoped for.

We discovered by trial and error that popping 1/3 cup at a time for the popcorn setting on our microwave makes a perfect batch. So we make two batches. Love this little popper.
