Block comes off the substrate after one use

After just a SINGLE use (drawing and a thin watercolor fill of part of the picture) the entire paper block came off the substrate. NOT like any other Arches device I have ever used! Hopefully the seller will refund or replace the product.

Pros
  • Ideal for watercolour, gouache, acrylic and airbrush
Cons
  • thin

The Arches brand is one of the best brands I've ever worked on.

I am not a professional artist but painting has been my hobby for 3 years. After learning a lot about watercolors online, I became acquainted with this product by watching videos on You Tube. Ordered online and tried my first picture. The Arches brand is one of the best brands I've ever worked on.

Pros
  • Paper made from natural cotton fibers by cylinder molding machine
Cons
  • Not sure

I love sheet quality

love the quality of the bows! The pad is attached on all 4 sides except for the paper separation area. I bought other so-called "blocks" and immediately regretted it. Removing the drawing can be tricky, but I use a letter opener or something like nail clippers. If you're a serious artist on a budget and can't afford £300 paper, I say you need this.

Pros
  • Made on natural gelatine finish
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
