Very happy with these! Two sizes fit most pots.

There's a little water-soluble sizing on the bags as shipped, but a quick rinse in warm water removed it, and the instructions direct you to do this before using them. The first photo is the smaller 16" x 11" bag in an 8 quart pot. All of the pot is available. The second photo is the smaller 16" x 11" bag in a taller 8 liter pressure cooker pot. It reaches the bottom of the pot but doesn't lie flat on the bottom. The last photo is the larger 18" x 16" bag in a 16 quart pot. All of the pot is…

Pros
  • Well made, filtered beautifully, and very easy to clean.
Cons
  • The bags may have an unpleasant odor or taste that can transfer to the finished product

Last year, I intended to make beer but decided to experiment with kvass, a traditional Russian/E. European soft drink. Instead of filling 8 Grolsch beer bottles, the bags let me squeeze out more water from the bread and I got 10 bottles using the bags. My kvass is much healthier for me than beer. I will always use these bags. Easier to squeeze out the water and not as much time involved! I will order more so I am not caught without.

Pros
  • Exactly as described
Cons
  • The drawstring can be difficult to tighten securely, leading to spills and messy cleanup

Small size perfect for 12 qt pot

Most bags are big - but this 2 pack has the smaller size that fits by 12 qt stock pot perfectly. I use it for mashing grains for homebrew. Have used it now 15 or 16 batches and it's still going strong. Will definitely buy again!

Pros
  • Good for a large pot but will not fit around a 5 gallon bucket.
Cons
  • Clogs up too easy and will not strain

Perfect for brewing or pollen separation

It stands up to both a boil and dry ice. The same bag filtered fruit wine on a Sunday, and after a wash. Monday. Where legal. It separates pollen from plant material with dry ice with minimal chlorophyll escaping. Reusable is important

Pros
  • Product is as advertised
Cons
  • The bags may be difficult to maneuver for inexperienced brewers, leading to spills and accidents

I ordered the two pack of the Bellamei Brew Bag and received two bags, however they were two different sizes. I did not notice this initially in the product listing, so please take note. The larger filter bag size that fit my press worked great, good flow for brew grains which sped up pressing significantly from the previous cotton/cloth style bag, but still provided a clean filtrate.

Pros
  • Should work perfectly. Can't wait to use.
Cons
  • The bags may not be cost-effective in the long term, as reusable filters may be more expensive than disposable options

In my case only the juice goes thru the impurities (seeds and pulp) stays in the bag. It also strains coconut pulp, we grind the white meat of the coconut into a pulp and extract the milk out of it. Its a Polynesian thing to use in cooking and making desserts.

Pros
  • Services its purpose well
Cons
  • The bags may not be dishwasher safe, making them difficult to clean and sanitize effectively
