ALLLLLMOST. - my new review

Alllllmost. the idea was workable BUT, the fabric was too stiff such that cinching up the bag around the fruit, in my case: grapes, was difficult to close and hold closes to pull the PLASTIC cinch string enough to tie them off. 50% of the plastic strings broke. Trying to find an alternative purpose for them now. You allllmost had it though. A little less fabric at the opening, and for pete's sake, 86 the silly plastic string and put in real string, nylon string, almost any othe string than the…

Pros
  • Bought them to protect individual tomatoes from birds. So far, so good.
Cons
  • The bags might be too tightly woven, preventing airflow and causing mold or mildew

Do not buy these: my feedback

I bought a100 4x6 bags to protect my figs from birds and bees. It was so hard to close the bag tight to prevent bees from getting inside because the drawstring is on one side, "it should be on both sides". The next day most of the bags had one or two bees and flies inside. I had to remove them all and modify each bag to allow the string to be pulled from both sides to make it possible to have a tight seal to prevent bees and flies from getting inside. I wasted so much time doing that. I need…

Pros
  • Amazing to protect the fruts
Cons
  • The bags might not be suitable for all gardening styles

Looks very sturdy - my new review

I cannot tell how good these bags will work until summer in the garden, but they are an excellent size, appear to be the same as described and look sturdy enough to use for years to come. I like that they are reusable, can be washed and saved for another season.

Pros
  • I Like these. Nice for bagging or covering plants
Cons
  • The bags might be too difficult to remove once the fruit is ripe

Still trying to find a way harvest

Squirrels are still laughing. They just pulled them off the peaches and grapes. Still trying find a way to stop the 100% wildlife theft of my fruit.

Pros
  • Protects fruits and vegetables from hail, heavy rain, and wind
Cons
  • The bags might be difficult to maneuver around the plant's various growth stages

Avoid insecticides on fruit trees

I bought these to keep the bugs off the apples in my Honey Crisp tree. Didn't want to use insecticide. Had to move before I could use them.

Pros
  • Easy to use. Need more time to evaluate durability.
Cons
  • The bags might be difficult to see through, making it hard to monitor the fruit's progress

Not a solution to squirrels

Squirrels just cut the fruit off at the stem outside the bag. Also, the bags are too small for regular sizes apples. That's my feedback.

Pros
  • Nylon material is easy to wash and clean
Cons
  • The bags might be too slippery and not stay secure on the fruit

this is great best in my review

Insects, birds and bats were trying to eat our fruit in the farm before it got ripe enough for us to harvest. Product is working so far, used on a peach tree in TEXAS.. This is good.

Pros
  • Product is working so far, used on a peach tree in TEXAS.
Cons
  • The bags might not be aesthetically pleasing or match the garden decor

Two years ago I tried putting netting over our peach tree to protect the fruit from squirrels. The squirrels found a way in and devoured every unripe peach. Last season I tried regular spraying of the developing fruit with a hot pepper concoction. That also didn't stop the squirrels. This season I am trying EnPoint's fruit protection nylon mesh bags. While we still have a few more weeks until our peaches will be ready to pick, the squirrels have shown no interest in the bagged developing…

Pros
  • Great for organic gardening
Cons
  • The bags might become tangled and difficult to untangle

Smaller than advertised 6 " x 4 "

Bags are smaller than advertised. Outside dimension is 5 3/8" x 4". Due to wide stitching margin, the inside dimension is only 4 1/2 " x 4". So it might be good for very small fruit like a fig or a plum. Keep this in mind when choosing bag size for your needs.

Pros
  • Made of see-through mesh cloth & 100% nylon, soft and stretchy, with long lifespan, can be reusable.
Cons
  • The bags might be too difficult to find at local gardening stores

Bag deters rats - my new review

These bags work well to keep rats from eating our apples. They are made of a plastic-like material that rats have difficulty chewing. We plan to use them on our avocados this year. They are big enough to easily slip over a large apple. The drawstring is least user-friendly. I had to cut the string, tie once, and then pull the ends to tighten and pucker the bag. The process is time consuming, but worth the effort if you want to save some fruit. All the apples I didn’t cover were eaten.

Pros
  • Works like it should
Cons
  • The bags might not fit all types of plants

Unfortunately they didn’t work for us

These are hard to close and tie. They don’t cinch up completely leaving gaps that allow access by bugs to the fruit. They did not detour our bug problems especially with our peaches.

Pros
  • Durable and reusable, with drawstring that help sealing the open mouth, easy to install, provide a well protection.
Cons
  • The bags might hinder pollination

A picture is worth a thousand words

This mesh bag is easily gnawed through by critters. I used them to bag my peaches to protect them. Nope, it didn’t work. See pictures. Can you feel my disappointment?

Pros
  • Lightweight and compact packaging for easy storage
Cons
  • The bags might not be compatible with all gardening tools

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use best in my review

These bags work wonderful, easy to put on and draw the strings. My pear tree finally produced pears this spring and hoping that they will mature enough to eat. I only had nine of them but that is better than none!

Pros
  • The drawstring closure keeps pests out effectively
Cons
  • The bags might attract pests due to the trapped fruit scent

Worked as expected. I cut the ends off many so I could slide them down branches. There were in surprisingly good condition at the end of the season (Arizona summer is hard on plastics/vinyl etc.). Expect to get many years out of them.

Pros
  • Peaches on trees. Very interesting crop.
Cons
  • The bags might not fit all types of fruits and vegetables

Revainrating 3 out of 5

These bags stopped squirrels but did not stop raccoons.

The squirrels were able to damage the fruit's skin by nibbling through the mesh without ripping the bag. Maybe it did slow the raccoons down. I lost about two mangos a night and I probably would have lost more had they been un-bagged.

Pros
  • good product
Cons
  • The drawstring might be too tight and damage delicate fruits or vegetables

Revainrating 5 out of 5

material very strong

You can fit multiple mangoes in one bag. If you tie a knot in the orange string it might be hard to get out. Overall a very sturdy product that can be used season after season.

Pros
  • Plant Support Structures
Cons
  • The bags might damage delicate leaves or branches when tied too tightly
