If you work in a commercial kitchen, you know how caustic detergent can be on your skin. Add to that the use of steel wool to scrub stubborn buildup on stainless steel pots and pans. The combination of these two willha rub your fingers raw. These gloves not only prevent raw fingers but you'll be able to handle hot pots and pans too while you wash. The only concern I have for you involves the size. Tho the glove fits nicely along my arm, the gloves themselves are oversized making it difficult to pickup silverware or food caught in the drain. One thing I learned after each use, rinse the inside of the gloves thoroughly. Good glove, great price.
