Great Value for Camera Commuters

I was worried about a trip on both a 767 and a small commuter jet: Would I get my gear on board? I purchased, and sent back, several pieces of travel get, including some from Pelican. The Think Tank Photo Airport did the trick. It has a lot of great features including the top zippered pocket in which I easily slipped my 15" Dell laptop. The "innards" fit my Manfrotto Be Free tripod, a Sony A7R3 body, and four lenses from the big Sony 16-35 f/2.8 to the Sony FE 28 f/2. The separators are easily moved around with their velcro attachments, allowing the lens cases to fit snugly. This case is NOT a hard shell, but I didn't think I needed that after using this. It fit in the overhead bin on the big jet, and I was allowed to slide it under the seat in front of me on the commuter jet (check with your airline for measurement limits). Another nice touch is the handle's zippered cover so as not to scratch anything next to it. Very impressive little bag.

Pros
  • Fits 1 gripped DSLR with lens attached, 1 standard size DSLR with lens attached plus 3–4 additional lenses, and 15" laptop
Cons
  • The bag does not have a clear front pocket, making it difficult to easily access essentials
