Review on Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil Omega 3 Treats For Dogs - Allergy & Itch Relief, Skin/Coat Supplement, Joint Health + 180 Servings! by John Bones

Canister was sealed with tape & chews were dry but huge improvement on our dogs' skin & coats!

Our Boston's tend to get dry, flaky skin with certain foods and in the winter months when our furnace is running daily. We purchased these based on the amounts listed per chew and number of chews per day. When they arrived, I was instantly turned off when the canister arrived and was simply taped with clear scotch tape, one piece on either side. There was no inner seal and the chews all had a dry, cracked look to them and didn't smell appetizing (but last time I checked, I wasn't a dog so who am I to judge the smell lol). Regardless, we started them on two chews a day, the change was quick. Their coats were shinier, the dander/dry skin vanished, they didn't itch often (minus their failed attempts at scratching their collars off), and even their occasional itchy ears had stopped. (They don't have mites or ear infections, they've been checked, just itchy ears this time of year.) Since both of our pups are older, we decided to try a chew geared at seniors, thinking it might be better and within a week or so, their skin was flaking again, dull fur, head shaking/itching, etc. I'm too cheap to toss those and the dogs seem to enjoy the flavor so we're using them up but I've ordered these again and we will stick to them from now on. I was hesitant to try them based on first impressions when they arrived but I'm just shocked. Especially now after I look at the difference when we made the mistake of trying senior version from a different company. These have treated our Boston Terrier's wonderfully!

Pros
  • The product is soft and chewy but most of all my dog like them.
Cons
  • Could cause weight gain in some dogs
