This flip book art kit is so cute, especially the light pad, which is ultra thin and it is amazing how that mini USB fits.But it does, and it makes the process of creating a flip book that much easier. You could probably go through the trouble of cutting numerous sheets of paper, then hole punching them, then finding the hardware to put the books together, but this kit makes all that work unnecessary so you can go right to work on the project.The paper is of decent quality, the hardware to bind the books is also decent. It also comes with its own USB to micro USB cable, which is another convenient feature.We ordered this for our children who love to doodle constantly and need to put that creative energy into a project.One drawback of the kit was the instructions--the ones included were either badly translated or were written by an individual who does not speak English well. They were almost cryptic, so we had to figure things out as we went along.All-in-all a good way to spend some gift money for the 11-17 age range.
