Review on Fractal Design FD CA DEF XL R2 BL: Ultimate Computer Case for Power and Performance by Stanislaw Kalinowski ᠌

I am very happy with this purchase, I will advise everyone!

This is a fairly large, spacious case with enough space to assemble a productive system or make your own water cooling. The body is covered with soundproofing material (side walls + front panel). I wish it was cheaper, of course, but alas. Has pros: 1. Design. It's debatable, of course, but I'm one of those who love simple rectangular shapes more than what most modern cases look like. 2. Standard spare parts. This, of course, will not surprise anyone at such a price; There are enough screws and bolts in the kit to secure the case hammered to the eyeballs. 3. Disc skids include anti-vibration pads 4. Dust filters. The first from the bottom is for the power supply and one fan, the second is from the front for two 140mm fans 5. The walls are sheathed with sound-absorbing material. 6. Pre-installed regulator for three fans (3-pin). Changes modes 12-7-5 volt. 7. All additional fan landings are initially covered with black material to prevent dust from entering the case 8. Disc cages can be deployed or rearranged (or removed altogether) 9. The power supply has rubber feet and an anti-vibration pad on the case. The legs are pretty easy to re-glue if you don't like their original position. 10. The case is raised above the floor by a couple of centimeters, the bottom of the case has a rubber base. Because of this, the body is quite difficult to move. Some cons: 1. The case is full-tower, so you should make sure in advance that 8-pin and 24-pin will get into their places 2. If you have a long PSU (mine is 210mm) then there will be a problem with the bottom 140mm fan. I had to change it to 120mm. 3. Bolts are used to fasten hard drives and ssd (you will need a screwdriver). This is compensated by pre-installed soundproofing pads. 4. A couple of tie-downs could be added to better secure the 8-pin connector to the motherboard. 5. Bright blue power LED. After a couple of hours of use, I connected a hard disk busy indicator to it. 6. There is no LED for HDD activity. 7. It will be extremely inconvenient to remove the front dust filter (since it simultaneously serves as a mounting point for two 140 mm fans). So if you want to wash it, you will first have to remove the fans, and only then carry it to wash.
