Wanted to like this item and surprise my eleven year old with it, but was not impressed. Said it was a new item; however, straight out of the box the protective film cover on top of the drawing board was misaligned and slightly dirty, as were a few places on the back of the board. The drawing board can either be plugged into your computer using the USB cable or you can plug the USB cable into a outlet adapter (not included. Think the charger plug used to charge an cell phone). The light itself has 3 brightness levels. Unfortunately even the brightest level is not enough light to see through. I think the issue is the small white precut book pages included in this kit are too thick to see through. Will try this later with regular computer paper and see if that is more see-through. If so will update this review later.
