Review on πŸ”΄ High-Quality eBoot Assorted Emitting Diodes for All Your Electronic Projects by Aaron Urena

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good value for money

Revain sells several variants of these kits. I received the "eboot" version of LN0628 which was satisfactory. I usually design 10mA LED circuits, but have found that I can get by with half that for indicator use. A common mistake in description is that they glow when forward biased. That's wrong: they glow when reverse-biased. When forward biased they behave like a standard diode with a voltage drop of about 0.7 volts. The longer contact labeled "anode" must be positive. You can use them with AC power supplies when current is limited; I have one in my lighted doorbell button (with an appropriate damping resistor to control the current).

Pros
  • Application: Not only can they be used in the industrial field, but also in some student experiments, school science, small LEDs are good for projects
Cons
  • Big and bulky
