Bought this set when I was starting out. The set was less than $40 at the time I bought it and at that price it's worth it for those who are unsure if this is a hobby they will pursue. I've always had trouble with hobbies, so I didn't want to invest too much money only to stop using it after a month. I've had no trouble knitting shawls out of this, but if you're using it for a magic bow or anything else that requires cord flexibility, this set isn't for you. The tips of the needles are good and sharp enough to make tight stitches. I have upgraded to the Chiaogoo set which I will link to at the end and definitely worth the extra money if you can.
