Review on High-Quality Logitech C615 HD Webcam - Crisp and Clear Video Calls, Streaming, and Recording by Hideo Tsuchida ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am very happy with this purchase, I will advise everyone!

I took a webcam only for Skype - it copes with a bang ! More than satisfied. Some take, for example, to observe an object . why ?! With all its pluses, the camera is primarily for conferences. Many complain about a short cable, yes it is short, but an extension cord is included, in addition, no one bothers to buy a longer one. An important point for me was the microphone (before that there was a miserable Genius iLook 300 without a microphone) and so - I am very pleased with the speech transmission, the interlocutor hears me perfectly. I chose between C615 and C525, - I gave up under the design of the first, but here is a really good design. Among other things, this is one of the few cameras that can be mounted on a tripod, in some situations this is quite a valuable aspect. Of the moments that I didn’t like, I’ll note the nominal Full HD shooting function, in fact it’s a solid 720p but nothing more. As for nitpicking, there is a claim to ergonomics . it would seem that the design is thought out, but for the sake of beauty and conciseness, it was necessary not to recess the lenses into the case, which is why dust can and will well fall on the glass and micro-scratches form . but as they say "not a cow buy" everything is conditional. The bottom line is the Logitech HD Webcam C615 is a webcam that really pleases and does its job perfectly. Some write that autofocus is slow . it's not instant of course, but if you remember the Canon 650D, autofocus is even slower there. Here is such an asymmetric comparison for you. I took it for 2300, I think the price is a compromise - then only pro webcams, but they are already significantly more expensive. I recommend!

Pros
  • 1) Excellent sensor 2) Solid, well-designed microphone 3) Harmonious design 4) Wide viewing angle 5) Ability to install on a tripod
Cons
  • Full HD only on paper
