Natural sand is great for your fish! UPDATE

I wanted to put sand in two tanks, one with rocks and one with gravel, and my Cory Dor Albino didn't have any sand! They love sand, and sand doesn't hurt their little waves and whiskers, so I just added it to the front and created a sand track for them. I wanted nice white sand and this one looked brown. I put it up for return but decided to use it as my little Cory really needed it so I canceled the return and I'm so glad I did. After washing it and putting it in the aquarium, it looks very light, beautiful and natural. I cleaned it for a couple of days before carefully setting it where I wanted it with a tiny jar, filling it with cleaned wet sand and slowly pouring it where I wanted it, not on top of the tank but up to the ground where you want to place it. It worked beautifully, the water didn't get cloudy at all and the sand falls gently to where it's needed. Very good. Just wash off beforehand. I also soaked it in purified water for at least 24 hours. UPDATE: So bought again, only this time I had white sand. White as white sand, white New Mexico. So I applied it over the color I got the first time. Love it! I'm thinking maybe this is my first time having natural moonlight gold or something? Both times I ordered the same moon sand so now I know what the first bag is called but both are really good. I have photos of both the first moon sand I received and the moon sand I bought back.
