Review on πŸ”’ Maximize Protection with the Cashel Wounded Warrior Crusader Fly Mask by Erica Nelson

all is well. And I LOVE these masks as they stay.

I have three horses and to be honest I'm at a loss. All three "lose" their masks at least twice a week. One is a 14-2 fat man with a doll's head. One is an average Q horse with 15 hands and a slightly narrow jughead. The latter has over 16 arms and although her head is very feminine, her head is large. I bought horse size for all 3 and find they fit well. Maybe the little horse has a bit of an extra strap that I have to fold to fit her cheek snugly, but other than that it's fine. And I LOVE these masks as they stay well removed from the eye area, don't wash out the hair, don't sweat the horse where they're close (behind the ears and above the muzzle) and hold their shape even after multiple washes. (gentle cycle, little soap). But they should slip off easily, usually when the horse decides to stick its stupid head in the bushes or scratch the tubular steel gate badly. I'm pretty sure it's the soft stretch material on the upper. However, any benefits outweigh the need to check for a missing mask (or two) several times a week. I think I would suggest going down a size if your area is large enough that mask retrieval is difficult.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Everything is fine
