This is good when used on a level surface that keeps the board flat. It would be nice if it came with a magnetic box to drop pieces that are no longer on the board. In addition, a locking mechanism is desirable to keep the board openly flat when playing on a machine without a large enough flat surface. Pieces can be lost when playing in a car, and when I swap the board between me and my opponent both hands should be free to hold the board flat, to put it on my knees, or to close it in the middle hold - where the bend is, hold it straight. These things would be useful when lying down and practicing techniques.
