Review on 🐱 Modern Flip Grey Cat Litter Box with Warming Features by Wendy Garcia

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Jumbo in grey. Well made and stylish

It had a cute little tray with ears and a lid that opened backwards like a stroller which made cleaning easier. I loved it and it became the gold standard that other boxes had to match when I was forced to find a bigger box (my boy turns into a mountain lion quickly). Advantages. I chose this box for two reasons. and only two reasons.1. The front half of the top cover opens for easy scooping, so I don't have to constantly fiddle with the dome cover in a tiny bathroom2. While it's narrow enough to fit in my "palace" bathroom and still allows me 15 inches to walk past it, it's also tall enough for Fluffy to sit inside without bending or tipping his head to tilt (yes I checked), and 3. The top of the dome is securely fastened with very strong clamps so it can't be accidentally knocked off. minuses. 1. As already mentioned, it has small legs, which, by the way, are designed to help protect the bottom of the box from scratches and abrasions. Dirt on my tile floor when moved to clean and sweep. This also means that the inside of the box features golf ball-sized indentations. This can make cleaning difficult if your cat pees in the corners. Luckily not mine. the lid, which lifts and opens for easy cleaning, doesn't open far enough or back far enough, forcing me to lean on the sides; Especially since the box is quite long so I stick my head in the box to reach out. I assume they made such a short opening because they are on top? and in fact; Who carries the tray like a suitcase? I would have preferred WITHOUT the handle and a large hinged lid for easier cleaning access! Heck, I'd rather have a hood that tilts the entire front 1/2 back like my old "LAZY BUDDY Cat Litter Box". Now THIS is a box with comfort! 3. The cat lid is held in place by little plastic beads so I don't expect it to last very long as the box I had a few years ago also had this type of valve and the damn things broke. 4th prize! The box was a little expensive (you think?!). twice as much as my previous box cost. but because it had the requisite hinged lid, which was my first requirement in the box; I paid and for $62 my nose still hurts. However, it looked like it was the only crate that best suited mine and Jumbo Butt's needs, minus the cement mixing bowl his cousin uses (seriously, that cat was mistaken for a cougar!). The box is nice and narrow, but long enough to turn around, tall enough not to hit him in the head, and has a hinged lid (yes!). Just be aware that it's expensive as hell (FYI, the gray in the $62 JUMBO (which I got) is double the price of the blue or pink).

Pros
  • Standard trays
Cons
  • A little maintenance
