Review on Camera Nikon Z6 Body, black by Mkanand Anand ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

P. S. Nikon, if you are reading this, please continue to develop towards video recording. Make an adapter for Canon and Sony lenses so that people, regardless of the system they are in, switch to you, use your badies! You have created an amazing product and I am sure that if you continue to develop in the same direction (improving the quality of video recording), people will switch to you. Nikon, today, definitely has an advantage in ergonomics, and this is incredibly important for me, and for most other professionals. I'm sure it can be emphasized that your camera is able to support all lens manufacturers. And the fact that you are not so attached to selling your own. When people buy your carcass, later, they will start looking after themselves and native lenses. Anyway, I think it's time to release my line of professional prime cinema lenses, like Canon, for example. Plus, you now have experience with a nokt (58mm 0.95) Or, even cooler, release a line of anamorphs - then you will make noise in the (actively growing) video industry. There will be no end to your technique. So, thank you so much for a great product. I don't know why it is so underestimated online, but the camera is actually just gorgeous.

Pros
  • Finally, Nikon released a camera with normal autofocus in the video! With the release of the d850, I already despaired, I was going to switch to Canon - and this is the sale of the entire heap of optics on the F mount. - it would be expensive and painful. I can't get enough. Ergonomics and use of the camera: Ergonomics, as usual, are perfect. There are just as many buttons as needed. Very convenient joystick for selecting the focus point. A very convenient rear screen - I almost completely stopped using the viewfinder. Switching the toggle switch from photo to video is an ingenious invention. To the engineer who came up with such an idea - a deep bow. Now I can shoot video and photo material in parallel, without being distracted by changing settings (which I couldn’t do before, because the settings for photos and videos are completely different.) Shooting video: Amazing quality slow motion. You can shoot up to ISO 5000 with virtually no loss of color depth, which is very cool when shooting concerts and lamp events. Full frame video. It’s also very cool that you can write 4k without crop at a bitrate of 144mbps (it seems), Sony writes 100mbps - the difference in bitrate between cameras is immediately noticeable when viewing, Nikon writes a huge amount of detail. Video in 4k ProRes RAW. I haven't tested it yet, but I plan to in the near future. Lenses: All F mount lenses fit (as expected) without any problems, the focusing speed is the same as on a regular camera. You can put DX lenses on the camera and continue shooting 4k! This is very cool, you can continue to use the ultra-wide for crop. Sensor stabilization: It's really cool that this feature is finally added. Now you can shoot video handheld with any lens. Ease of use - Nikon, add an sd card so that you can write video on it with a resolution of up to 1080 and so that you can write JPEG on it when recording jpeg + RAW. FTZ adapter: - does not support lenses without a motor! Very sad news. Although there are no complaints about the rest of the lenses. USB C - The camera can be charged from a bank - fast download!
Cons
  • There are no hard flaws, just something to improve. What to improve: File recording formats: - Record video in HEVC 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 - Switch to HEIC instead of jpeg (your files take up a catastrophic amount of space, there are already better formats for saving videos and photos - go for them! Plus, memory cards are very expensive, and besides, storing the works themselves - hard drives are also not free.) Shooting video: Keep polishing soft autofocus Limit the focusing distance (I don't always need the camera to focus in the entire range, sometimes I need the camera to focus within 2-4 meters from me and not fly away to infinity if it suddenly notices a face in the background. (In mode video). Make 10bit video standard quality Add in-body RAW video, at least 1080. Put a more powerful audio chip into the camera! Memory cards: XQD is one huge downside as the cards are just infinitely expensive. 64GB costs about 14,000, which is very expensive for me. (Although in terms of read / write speed - the card is excellent). Given the size of the files (what a photo, what a video), you have to merge several times during the shooting. (I mainly do event photography) It is very difficult to find an XQD adapter - in all photo stores (at least in St. Petersburg, it comes mainly only on order.) Plus, it is also expensive. The fact that there is only one connector does not bother me so much, although of course it would be nice to have two. Camera ates: Please, when you release a new model and if you improve the focusing speed in it, release an ate for Z6 and Z7 🙏🏻🙏🏻 so that every owner of these cameras can install them - this will only add endless respect to you, and you will have sales anyway. Make sure that the camera can be ated by cable, through a computer. I still don't have an XQD reader and have to do without eye AF because I can't copy the file to my card.
