This is one adorable journal! The paper is good quality and the designs on the pages are dark enough to be seen but light enough so that it won’t obscure your writing or art (although some pages you might want to use a dark ink to show up better as the nighttime scenes use a faded blue background so pastel or light ink would be hard to see). The makers listened to the users and removed the Chinese writing so it’s all just images. I would’ve been ok with the writing left on but I think it’s awesome they listened to buyer feedback and made adjustments based on what users would like. A+ for good customer service!The images themselves are beautiful watercolors of nature or just colors blending and flowing together. The book itself is well made with a nice textured cover and no matter what page I turn to it lays open flat for easy use with no warping of spine.I honestly loved it so much I had to get two! I’m definitely going to buy others in their seasons set (this one is "summer”).
