Review on Apple AirPods Max - Sky Blue (Renewed) by Judy Thomas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Happy but not for the reasons you might be thinking

After using a Mac as my daily driver for more than 25 years, 3.5 years ago I started working for the company that makes the Windows PC has standardized. For me, it destroyed the value of my first-gen AirPods. Not because they were awkward to use with my phone, but because I couldn't magically switch back and forth between my iPhone and computer anymore. I have since bought a Sony WH-1000XM3 which I loved but died right out of warranty. expired. They weren't very comfortable for hiking, so I bought a pair of WF-1000XM3. These are the best headphones ever used, wired or wireless. Fast-forward to April of this year, when I took a new job at a company that allows employees to choose between Macs and PCs. Of course I chose Mac. I suddenly found myself in an environment where I could add comfort and improve the quality of my workday. BUT I was completely spoiled by the sound quality of the WF-1000XM3. I tried Airpods Pro, but the poor sound quality was immediately noticeable. Finally, I looked at the Airpods Max. Reviews were generally excellent, with obvious remarks about weight, fragility (aluminum scratches), dumb case, and yes, price. After getting a spot bonus at work and accumulating some Revain points on my Revain card, I decided to give them a shot. (I couldn't bring myself to pay $499 for their new one PLUS $99 for AppleCare.) For $197 out of my own pocket I was able to get a refurbished pair of Airpods Max plus a matching case AND the 3 year old -Get extended warranty from Asurion. .I agree with most of the reviews: they're extremely comfortable, the battery life is incredible, and the sound quality is the best in the Airpods lineup. Most importantly, I can magically switch between my iPhone, my personal MacBook Air, my professional MacBook Pro, and our Apple TV. The comfort is second to none (but they're still not as good as my Sonys).
