Review on Enhance Building Fun with LEGO DUPLO Train Bridge and Tracks Set: 26 Building Blocks Included by Gary Perry

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The train often slips when going up

The grade percentage is too high for the train to climb the bridge safely. The sides of the rear wheels have special teeth that mate with the teeth on the axle pieces. The gears may start to slip, and as soon as they do, the engine will shut down. We tried many configurations, e.g. B. tow or not tow a passenger car, to have or not to have an engineer in the cab to change the weight, etc. We also tried to make sure the parts were securely connected. The course is on a hard, flat surface, not carpet. The batteries are new. We see no visible signs of wear on the counterparts. Most of the time it makes it across the bridge, but maybe 25% of the time it doesn't, although it sometimes crashes multiple times in a row. We bought four bridges and the problem can occur with any of them and in any direction. I contacted Lego support directly on their website. I received a confirmation for submitting the form but no response after a week. I have contacted them in the past for other unrelated questions and received quick replies. I suspect this is a design flaw so they don't have a good answer for me so I chose not to answer. I do not recommend buying this set. At least there are more direct paths that are useful. I want Lego to sell straight and curved tracks separately in bulk packs.
