Review on MICHELIN Pilot Alpin 4 235/35 R20 92W Winter by Barbara Ratyska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

I was afraid to buy a non-studded one, but after the Contiental ContiIce Contact BD "staggered" for 1 (!) season, I clearly understood that buying studs for asphalt was at least not reasonable, and at most - debilitating, because. money wasted down the drain + it's not safe to ride a "spike" on asphalt. I was very worried about how the Velcro would behave on ice, I checked it on the second day after the purchase - they behave chic, even the ABS did not "crack" when the brake was pressed smoothly (not to be confused with "slow") "to the floor". Now I’m worried that they won’t “harden” at temperatures below 15-20C (although in the current winters I think that this is unlikely, well, maybe if such weather stays for 1-2 weeks at most). Bought initially for the current St. Petersburg "winter" (dry asphalt, rain, slush, snow and porridge), so far satisfied with 100% purchase.

Pros
  • Quiet, soft, excellent road holding (puddles, ice and asphalt - the same grip everywhere).
Cons
  • Haven't found it yet. Maybe when the temperature drops below -20 they will appear. Even the price tag of 12 / wheel I think is adequate.
