Honda/Acura power steering fluid is quite unique in that it is mineral based and differs slightly from regular ATF hydraulic fluid. Can you be sure that they will work the same way as a genuine Honda product? If you roll the dice and lose, you could be faced with a hefty repair bill. Do you want to take a risk? Not me. My Honda fluid works like a factory fill because it's a factory fill. Here at Casa de NotSteve we have three Hondas (not counting my CBR1000RR) and they all get an actual power steering fluid item.
