Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quality and coolness factor - great! RANGE - Reduced (it's a short antenna), but still very usable.

Purchased in March 2019. For those of you who love the product but are still disappointed with the reception quality (including the lack of song information). I'm sorry but I have to ask. You have shortened your antenna by 85% and removed the copper winding that you may have noticed on your original antenna. What do you think should have happened? A reduction decreases the range. IT SAID - I bought it for the custom/cool factor and it does exactly that. The quality is excellent! The price isn't bad so don't be fooled. It is a military support product made in America. PERFORMANCE - I live in the mountains of Southeast Tennessee. Most of the time I'm behind the wheel, picking up my favorite radio station almost as well with a factory antenna, in terms of range - again, mountains kill any antenna, but I'm surprised at how far I REALLY get, because it's short. I haven't noticed any degradation in the way I use/listen to the FM portion of my stereo. As for the song ID. I still get it when I'm closer to town, so maybe it's a combination of you reducing your range with a short antenna and the station you're listening to sacrifices distance for that part of the signal to get the get audio portion of them signal. further. CONCLUSION: Get this if you need the cool factor and aren't going to overdo it for most of your riding. unless you are listening to XM or your own music from your personal device. then it doesn't matter, right? .
