Review on Enhance Cooling Efficiency with Performance Ultra Low Impedance Heatsink Compound by Michael Bressler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Used on my Strix Hero III laptop; works like a charm, much less messy than what came out!

So I noticed that my laptop started to overheat a bit after the first year of use, and despite the lack of real instructions for this particular model on exactly how to solve this problem (and there is no real breakdown/application guide for it anywhere.) I took a leap of faith and snagged this stuff. To be clear, since I did NOT use this on desktop and therefore couldn't use the template, I can agree with some of the other reviewers; It does NOT spread well (I ended up throwing caution to the wind by just dabbing it with the blade of a plastic knife and then spreading it out as evenly as possible). That is not much. I don't know, different? I know I need to close the air gaps between heatsinks and anything they touch, but I've found this to be incredibly inconsistent, particularly on the VRM in my machine (I'm guessing what type of ferrite they use for ASUS machines and use THESE pastes). . , do not go well together.?). On the other hand, I used about a drop of paste for the entire job; The OEM paste was a nasty mess and eventually broke, requiring a lot of toothpick level work to get it all out of the car. there is a laptop. Can't say it "cools" better, it's a laptop after all, but it's definitely not thermal throttling, the fan curves behave better and everything works better because of it. .So, to be honest, I think this is my victory! In half a year we will check that, since the whole machine should fall apart (or sooner if I notice misbehavior again) and for that it should be glued again (I wouldn't want to, but no, thanks to his pasting). I can use it on my desktop and see how it works!

Pros
  • Internal Components
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others
