An excellent composition that can be used in many ways.

This is probably the best material I've used to remove heavy swirls and deeper scratches. I've used this with a wool pad rotor to get strong swirls and occasional deeper scratches all at once in about 4 or 6 passes at 1600-1800 rpm with some pressure on the first 2 or 3 passes and just the weight of the machine in the remove last two or more over that. Used it today with a foam cutting pad on a rotary machine at 1400-1600 rpm, used the same 4-6 passes as above. Got the twists and ended pretty well. I've also used this with foam cutting pads on a dual action polisher and it removed heavy curl very well. Just not as hard on deeper scratches as a wool pad, at least not without more passes of hard pressure. Still 4 to 6 passes with heavy downward pressure for the first 3 passes and light pressure for the last 2 or 3 passes. It actually ends up pretty well this way and there is very little need to use polish afterwards. I'm pretty sure you could very well end up with this even if you use it with a buffing pad for real light swirls. finish with only light pressure for the last few or few passes. Because this blend uses SMAT abrasives (abrasives don't break) it allows the product to cut very quickly and allow for fewer passes than compounds/products that use DAT abrasives (abrasives that break on more passes). Which of course saves you time and effort. There will be some dust when using a wool pad. However, this is usually due to excessive stress on the wool pillow together with the heat development. If after a few passes you feel it has dried out a bit, you can spray the painted area with some water to activate the compound and do a few more passes. With the foam pads I don't have as much dust on the rotor when I use it. However, with a double action, it dusts pretty well. However, dust never harms the paintwork or the performance of the mixture. This is a great compound that can be used in many ways. The method depends on your degree of defects, the hardness of the paint and, in your opinion, good enough.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • The list will be long.
