Safety first for kids learning to quilt

Currently teaching a quilting class for teenage beginners. One of the activities they need to learn is how to cut the fabric with a rotary cutter. Think extremely sharp pizza cutter. Once the gloves arrived I decided I liked them a lot. Still, they need some traction on the fingers and palms. So, I pulled out my "Liquid Stitch" and painted some on the finger tips and around the palms. Resulted in great traction for holding things. Since we had 14 scheduled in the class, I figured treating both sides of the gloves since both left and right-handers would be using the gloves. Worked out perfectly.

Pros
  • ‎Grass Green
Cons
  • The gloves might not be suitable for people with sensory issues or sensitivities
