Slides often got stuck in the viewing window, requiring you to stop and try to eject them. However, I could hold the slide in front of a viewer and the light was bright enough that I could normally see what was on the slide. Also, I'm right-handed, but I used that hand to pick up and put the slide in, so I figured it would be much more efficient if the eject button was on the left.
