This plunger piston will pump -- but not thump!

I recently purchased the OEM 503660102 Oil Pump Plunger Piston for my Husqvarna 55 Rancher and have some mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, it does an adequate job of pumping oil to the chain, which is obviously important for the health and longevity of the saw. On the other hand, it doesn't really give me that "oomph" I was hoping for. It's like the plunger piston is just phoning it in, doing the bare minimum to get by. Overall, I would give this product three stars. It gets the job done, but there's nothing particularly impressive about it. If you're in a pinch and need a new plunger piston, go ahead and give it a shot. But if you're looking for something that will truly knock your socks off (or, you know, lubricate your chain with gusto), you might want to keep searching.

Pros
  • Enhanced lubrication - This oil pump plunger piston is engineered to provide optimal lubrication to your chainsaw. With its reliable and consistent oil supply, you can ensure that your equipment will be able to operate effortlessly and efficiently time after time. This feature will also help to extend the lifespan of your chainsaw and mitigate the risk of component damage
Cons
  • Another downside to the OEM 503660102 Oil Pump Plunger Piston is its fragility. While this product is manufactured to exact specifications, it’s still prone to breaking or wearing down over time, especially if it’s subjected to heavy use or harsh working conditions
