These are true to color in my opinion. The wall you’re seeing these against isn’t white, it’s pale purple, but my ceiling is true white, just so you get a good sense of that. That sweater on the left is a neutral gray. I hoe that helps you get a good sense of the saturation of these Lilac curtains.Before these curtains, I had some "blackout” curtains that a got a couple years back at Walmart. They were darker than ordinary curtains, I guess, but I could still see light through them — and I bought two sets, even though I should’ve only needed one!. When I bought them, they said "blocks 99% of light”. But these claim (and do) block 100% of light That’s the key difference. See, 1% of light doesn’t look like 1% to the human eye. The light of a candle is measured as 1 candela, where a common lightbulb can be between 18,000 and 110,000 candelas. But a room lit by a lightbulb doesn’t seem a hundred thousand times brighter than one lit by a candle, does it? No, perhaps ten or twenty times brighter. Because your eyes adjust to low light levels, even a little light can be enough to wake you, keep you awake, or slip through your curtains.These Lilac curtains also match my new Byourbed sheets in the color Orchid Petal exactly.
