Update 2021. That gate is still hanging there pun! Yes, it's a bit rusty underneath, the paint has started to peel off. Sanding and repainting, hopefully it will last another 3 years. I still haven't found any other 22 inch gates. Always looking, but all I can say is "this goal" has withstood my furries so far. Date of purchase 2018. First of all the gate is very nice and well made but initially only gave it 2* because (will vary) I spent hours specifically looking for the right size and reading reviews because we are in a camper live . The width of the door is small for our hostel. I found it, or so I thought. Second, I wanted to check with others if they have an issue with a latch not connecting or if they are having trouble fitting into the frame? That's when I found an invoice that said the bleed was 24 inches, no way! I ordered a 24 inch bleed. And the 22” bleed size? Now it no longer exists as a choice in the sales message. I think the company thought 2 inches would make no difference and now I think it really didn't matter. The gates are wedged in the frame and I couldn't get them together at the top at first so I couldn't believe how tight they were. it bothered "Okay, so." (Finally) Hubby came to the rescue, we pushed the gate up and turned the knobs until the gate clicked. Then we put it back in the hole. Leaving the zipper in place was NOT an option. It's very, very tight, but the 24 inch gate is now 22 inches. It doesn't matter because the gate is now in a 22 inch door frame. Ordered and the box says 24" but the truth is right there. Well bye my "very smart" dogs won't figure out how to open it (and they did and that's in the past), we're in ! Works great, but still only gives 4*. Finally, it really drove me crazy when I first installed it. 😁
