Review on Wacom DTK1660K0A Cintiq 16 Drawing Tablet: A Powerful Screen-based Sketching Tool by Wiktor Witold Skow ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I expected mediocre quality, but the product was pleasantly surprised.

Wakom, as always, revels in his authoritarianism in the tablet market. Solutions from huion and xp-pen breathe in the back, both in terms of build quality and better matrices. But unfortunately in all of them there is a wobbling effect, the waviness of the line, if you draw it slowly. Only vakom has so far achieved the minimization of this effect, which is important when working with a line without smoothing (smoothing). Therefore, those who care about the line in raster graphics programs are forced to overpay two or even three times.

Pros
  • -Clicks are much better compared to the previous generation. - Film without crystal effect. -16 inches is the optimal size.
Cons
  • -Bad matrix with extremely meager color gamut and brightness of 200 nits. My 1st generation companion is just "retina" compared to the cintiq 16 hd screen, Uneven illumination. - Cheaper plastic and assembly compared to the previous generation. Lack of usb (was in synth 13 hd), - again a pile of wires that, by no means, are connected on the desktop.
