Review on Jumbo 15Mm Felt Tip Paint Markers - Waterproof & Smear Proof Ink, Aluminum Barrel For Doodling On Paper, Plastic, Wood, Rock, Metal And Glass (1 Black And 2 White) by Amanda Engelhardt

Thick Felt Tip on Jumbo Size! Heavy Pens. Be Sure to Shake Well for Consistent Flow of Color.

One gargantuan, weighty white marker is included in this set of three! (The other two are standard size.) It is rare to pick up a marker and note that it feels heavy in your hand, but the large white one does. The tip is truly broad. The others are heavy for their size, as well. I do a lot of multi-media art that involves mark-making over painting and prints; the combination of this wide-width white and the narrower white and black will add a variety of character to pieces. I normally use India and acrylic inks, so these are a delightful change. At first, I thought that this solvent-based ink/paint was too thin, but I had not shaken the pens enough. You have to shake these for longer than seems necessary, and then shake them intermittently during use to keep an even amount of colorant flowing. Because of the heft of the pens, I imagine that, unlike other pens of this type that I have used in the past, that these pens must be full of ink. Their barrels don't look especially think. I hope they will last for a long time.I might be super-sensitive to odors and chemicals, but the smell of this ink/paint bothers me--makes me feel lightheaded. I keep a fan going in my workspace and open a window when I am using them for an extended period of time. Even so, I am glad to have them.
