Review on Smart Google Nest Mini column (2nd gen), chalk by Micha Spodymek ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, more pros than cons.

I'm just messing around and trying to get the hang of using voice control in a "smart" home. It would appear that there is no way out of this situation in the relatively near future. But, if you also want to listen to music on a regular basis, you should look for another device that has Google Assistant because the sound quality of this speaker is quite average. Has some advantages Design, good microphone sensitivity, simple setup, and compatibility with a wide number of "smart" items made by a variety of manufacturers are among the product's advantages. Some cons: Sound. It's simply beyond my comprehension why there are so many glowing testimonials. The speaker has a somewhat higher quality sound than the speaker on a smartphone. When turned up to high settings, powerful distortions make a clicking sound that cuts the ear, so I had to use an equalizer to reduce them down. There are no basses, contrary to what is stated in all of the reviews; nevertheless, there are mids, and one can add them by adjusting the equalizer slider that is responsible for low frequencies. It is obvious that it is absurd to expect miracles from a speaker that is only 4 centimeters in size, but it would be preferable if they made the frequency range narrower, but cleaner and smoother, in order to avoid torturing the listener's hearing. It is necessary to listen at a modest volume in order to avoid experiencing any discomfort from the music. The voice has a typical quality to it, however the music does not give any satisfaction. In the third generation, Google still has a lot of ground to cover.
